Marjorie R. Felton

Marjorie R. Felton, 96 of Felton Hollow Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Chamberlain Graceful Living in Cumberland, MD.  She was born on May 09, 1928 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Harrison H. and Susannah (Morris) Hoover.  On June 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to James L. Felton.  He preceded her in death on October 30, 1988.

She is survived by children Carol Chamberlain, Everett, PA; and Jimmy Felton married to Janie (Morral), Everett, PA; grandchildren Jeff Chamberlain, Adam Chamberlain, Shannon Felton and Sean Felton; step-granddaughter Danielle Graeff; great-grandchildren Jesse Chamberlain, Jude Chamberlain, Samantha Felton, and Ryder Felton; step great-grandchildren Kayli, Kellen, Christopher, Tristan and Avery Graeff; and a great great granddaughter Brinly.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Miles Chamberlain and the following siblings Hazel Martin, Evelyn Firebaugh, Jack Hoover, Dorothy Sparks, Betty Stein, and Robert Hoover.

She was a member of the Mt. Union Christian Church where she formerly served as a Deaconess, church clerk and was on the kitchen committee.  She was active in the Silver Sneakers and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Marjorie was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1946 and attended Catherman’s School of Business in Cumberland, MD.  She worked in the payroll department for Howard Johnson and later working at Hedstrom Manufacturing.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Burial will be held privately at Mt. Union Cemetery.
