Margaret Smith-Weyandt Obituary

Margaret Ann Smith-Weyandt, 43, of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  She was born on March 14, 1979 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. 

She is survived by daughter Cierra Smith, Tyrone, PA; special mother Jody Marinski; husband Leonard Weyandt; step-son Nicholas Smith, Altoona, PA and step-daughter Hannah Smith, Altoona, PA; three grandchildren and one on the way; siblings Ashley Marinski, Kylie Marinski, Chelsea Runkle, Tracy Heffner, Lisa Prisk and Joseph Prisk and many nieces and nephews. 

Margaret was a graduate of Trinity High School in Washington, PA.  After graduation she enlisted in the United States Army where she served and currently served for twenty-three years of service.  She was a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  While serving in the Army Reserves she attended South Hills School of Business and Technology where she obtained her Medical Assistant's Degree.  

Margaret was a member of the Everett Bloody Run Social Club, Everett V.F.W Post No. 2088, Breezewood V.F.W Post No. 8333, The Everett American Legion Post 8 and the Altoona V.F.W Post No. 10405.

A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home. 

Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
