M. Faye (Custer) Pittman

M. Faye Pittman, 77, of Pittman Hollow Road, Everett, PA; went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. 

She was born in Harrison Township on April 18, 1942; a daughter of the late Dorsey and Gladys (Martin) Custer.

She is survived by her loving husband Merle E. Pittman of fifty-six years.  She is also survived by the following children, Kim M. Pittman of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Thomas L. Pittman and Collette of Omaha, NE and Catherine Pittman of Everett, PA; siblings Jane Scritchfield of Bedford and Dorsey L. Custer of Manns Choice, PA; and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers James Custer and Thomas Custer.

Faye was of the Protestant Faith.

She was a member of the Everett V.F.W. Auxiliary, social member of the Everett American Legion and the Bloody Run Social Club.  She enjoyed opening up her red, white and blue club tickets.

Faye was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.  She especially loved dogs.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Hott officiating.

Burial will be held in Everett.
