Luella G. (Snyder) Bowser

Luella G. Bowser, 67, of Clearville, PA; passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 with family by her side at Homewood at Martinsburg from a courageous battle of cancer.  She was born on August 25, 1956 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late John W. and Alma G. (Pepple) Snyder.  On September 30, 1988 in Winchester, Virginia; she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Bowser. 

Along with her husband of thirty five years, she is survived by step daughter Kim Soistman married to Tony, Spring Grove, PA; and step grandson Cody Dillon, Hanover, PA; siblings Clyde Snyder married to Susan, Everett; Linda Barkman married to Dwane, Clearville; very special nephew Preston Barkman married to Janelle and their family Levi, Waylon and Gracie; special niece Hillary Robinette married to Darren and their family Laura and Alma.

Luella was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1974.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Zimmerman’s Hardware in Everett from 1974 until Zimmerman’s sold in 2016.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Everett.

Luella loved to sew, embroidery and mow her lawn.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10-11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
