Lorraine F. (Rogers) Thomas, 82, of Hollidaysburg, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at The Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg following
a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on September 12, 1937 in Defiance, PA; a daughter of the
late Edgar and Velma M. (Wright) Rogers. She was united in marriage to Earl W. Thomas.
Along with her husband she is survived by three children Penny Cole, Palm Bay, FL; Jody Cole, Montoursville, PA; and Daniel E. Thomas
married to Sherri, Roaring Spring, PA; and sister Janice Rogers, Las Vegas, NV. She was grandma also known as “Raine” to numerous
grandchildren and great grandchildren; and as a member of the Thomas family a large number of in-laws, nieces, nephews, etc.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Timothy L. Thomas, siblings Donald Rogers and infant twins James and Jack
Rogers; granddaughter Jennifer K. Michael; niece Brittani Hinrichs; sons-in-law Daniel R. Cole and Clifford B. Cole.
She was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1955, where she was an honor student.
Lorraine formerly lived at 224 Leaf Lane, Hollidaysburg and Monroe Road, Montoursville, PA. While living in Montoursville she was primarily a homemaker raising four children. Upon moving to Hollidaysburg she elected to work in the retail business and was quite proud of the people
that worked with her when managing Orange Julius and Wise Buy clothing.
She enjoyed the various activities in her hometown of the Broad Top Area, especially the four monthly fire hall dinners at Saxton, Six Mile
Run, Robertsdale and Roaring Spring. She met many old as well as new friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Thrusday, August 27, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor James Thomas officiating.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that donations are made to the volunteer fire companies in your area.
