Linda J. (Hickman) Guy

Linda J. Guy, 69, of Clear Ridge Road, Clearville, PA; passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at UPMC Altoona surrounded by loved ones after battling lung cancer.  She was born on July 5, 1949 in Plainfield, NJ; a daughter of the late Norman Hickman and Georgejean (Johannessen) Hickman. On August 24, 1971 in South Amboy, NJ she married Willard B. Guy, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2008.

She is survived by daughters Delores Lawson, Sonia Lawson, Norma Jean married to Patrick O’Rourke, Clearville, PA, Selena Marie married to Kenny Hinish, Everett, PA, Rosemary Elaine married to Jesse Fetters, Everett, PA; grandchildren Shelsa and Lakken; Tyson, Colby, and Paul, Jr.; Josh, Jacob and Nathaniel; Samantha; Drake and Owen; seven great grandchildren and an Aunt Elsie Nettie Fountain, Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Linda was affiliated with Cherry Lane Church of the Brethren, Clearville, PA. She was a graduate of Juniata College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a minor in digital media.

She was a member of the Organization of American Historians and the Sons of Norway.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Eleanor Fix officiating.
