He was born on October 11, 1941 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Leroy Webster and Lillian Marclea (Clark) Bennett. In Petersville, MD at the Faith Baptist Church, he was united in marriage to Nancy Jean (Long) Stabnau-Bennett.
Along with his wife, he is survived by children Michael Kent Bennett married to Kelley Ann; Kelly Jill Bennett and fiancé Kenny Matos and Julie (Bennett) married to Jeffrey Buchanan; step children Susan (Stabnau) married to Roger Powell and William Stabnau married to Amy (Hartle); grandchildren Levi, Michele, Jesse, Spencer, Ellen, Jacob and step granddaughter Zeilend; five great grandchildren Lillian, Anna, Hazel, Zinnia and step great granddaughter Vesper; siblings Donald Bennett, Conda Bennett married to Carol (Reed), Daniel Bennett married to Charlene (Ripple).
He was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Smyers and his wife Beth; and a sister-in-law Helen Bennett.
Kenny was a member of the Bethel Christian Church.
He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1960. Kenny could build anything and did that for a living. He built houses, townhouses, condos, barns, milking parlors, roads, bridges, and restaurants. Although he loved construction, his true passion was farming. His favorite farming activities included caring for cattle, fixing old tractors and equipment and baling hay. His multiple hobbies were antique tractor pulling and restoring unique old cars, like his Mercedes kit car. He loved his family more than anything. He was a quiet, compassionate leader of his family. As the rock he was depended upon by his entire family for stability, guidance and love. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and especially his wife.
