Kathy Leigh (Beegle) Kovachick

Kathy L. (Beegle) Kovachick, 67, of Cumberland, MD; went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.  She was born at home on January 28, 1958; a daughter of the late Calvin W. and Margaret I. (Smith) Beegle of Clearville.

She is survived by two sons James married to Falon and John married to Lisa; four grandchildren; brothers Paul Beegle, Jimmy Beegle married to Robin, Rusty Beegle married to Brenda, Terry Beegle married to Trudy, G. Eric and companion Ronda, sister Diane “Dee Dee” Smith, many nieces, nephews and her companion Jeff Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy Kovachick, sisters Christine Reid, Mary Ann Beegle, brothers Charles “Billy” Beegle and Michael Beegle, sisters-in-law Peg, Barbara and Linda Beegle and brother-in-law Richard Smith.

Kathy was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1977; she went on to study nursing.  Kathy worked at Pennknoll Village for a number of years, where she took very good care of her patients.

Kathy and her husband moved to York for a period of time and after his passing she returned home.  She worked at the Post House in Breezewood until its closing and then later working at Sheetz and Goodwill. 

She had a big heart for her furry friends and often talked about her dog Charlie, long after his passing.  Kathy was loved and will be sadly missed.

A private memorial service with burial at Pleasant Union Cemetery with Pastor Ronald Hott and Ronnie Hott officiating will be held at a later date.
