Kathleen M. (Snyder) Conner Harclerode

Kathleen Mae (Snyder) Conner Harclerode, 92, of Everett, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 27, 2020.  She was born on May 31, 1928 in Monroe Township, Bedford County, the daughter of the late Grace (Jay) and Adam L. Snyder.

Kathleen was first married to the late Lynford Conner, together they had four children, the late Jere L. Conner and wife Pam of N. Fort Myers, FL, Kristi Cameron and husband Colin of Ashburn, VA, Bentley A. Conner of Everett, PA, and Andrea Kelliher and husband Joseph of Centreville, VA; grandchildren: Brittany Conner McCauley, Andrew Cameron, Corrina Kelliher, Veronica Kelliher, Kate Sims, Allie Sims; great grandchildren: Everett McCauley, Elliston McCauley, Brooks Gauthier and Maeve Gauthier

On January 4, 1992 she was united in marriage to the late Thomas Harclerode.  Surviving are step children; Linda Butts and William “Billy” Harclerode,  4 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings Pauline “Polly” Smith, Bedford PA, Betty Jane Baker, North Canton, OH and Marvin Snyder, Everett, PA; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Kathleen was a loving, generous and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who treasured time with her family.  She was known for her kind, handwritten cards and phone calls to check in and give encouraging words. She lived Matthew 22:39, helping others, giving food, clothing, furniture, whatever the need may have been. 

Kathleen worked as a dental hygienist, and later as a nurse’s aide at Pennknoll, Everett, PA, the Everett Christian Home and also at a facility in Florida. She was a gifted seamstress and decorator, who appreciated the beauty of the outdoors including watching birds come to her bird feeder.

Kathleen was a member of the United Church of Christ for many years, later becoming a member of the Everett United Methodist Church and participated in Sunday School, the prayer ministry and conference work.  Her faith in Jesus Christ was central in her life.

She was a lifelong resident of Everett and a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1946. 

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
