Junior A. Moyer

Junior A. Moyer, 80, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at home.  He was born on April 3, 1944 in Clearville, PA; a son of the late Obed F. and Annie R. (Feaster) Moyer.  On June 27, 1964 in the Masonic Temple in Everett, he was united in marriage to Sandra L. (Greenawalt) Moyer.  She preceded him in death on March 28, 2021.

He is survived by a daughter Anita M. Moyer-Smith widow of Michael, of Alexandria and son Jerry A. Moyer married to Stacey, of Bedford; grandchildren Michaela married to John-Michael Knepp, Jared married to Hannah, Halee, Olivia, Drake, Charlee, Steffi and Duke; great grandson Everett Knepp; siblings Edna Votral and Connie Clark married to Graffious.

Junior was predeceased by siblings Bernie Moyer, Orville Moyer, Beulah Lepley, Eugene Moyer, Pauline Moyer and Freddie Moyer.

He was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1962.  Junior worked as a machinist at Kennametal for 35 years until his retirement.

Mr. Moyer enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 03, 2025 from 10:30 A.M. to the hour of the service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 03, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with his nephew Todd Greenawalt officiating.
