John Boetker, Jr. Obituary

John Roland Boetker, Jr., 87, of Clearville, PA; passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at home.  He was born on July 17, 1936 in Baltimore, MD; a son of the late John Roland Boetker, Sr. and Nellie Mae (Allen) Boetker.  On August 3, 1966 in Rockville, MD; he married Stella M. (Diffenderfer) Boetker. 

Along with his wife of fifty-seven years, he is survived by children Julie (Boetker) Hall, Doug Boetker, Tammy (Boetker) Boyle married to Billy, and Tim Boetker married to Shardohn; grandchildren Jessica, Little Doug, Joey, Brendan married to Jess, Kevin, Logan, and Zack Boyle; great grandchildren Zander and Scarlett Boetker; siblings Marie Nolde, Agnes Law, Lorraine Byers, Gloria Jean Woods and husband Dale (his best camping and fishing buddy) and Patricia Payne.

He was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Randolph.

He was a member of the Chaneysville Community Church.  John volunteered for the Civil Defense Fire Rescue.

Mr. Boetker worked as a Supervisor for the City of ToKoma Park for thirty-three years until his retirement.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Independent Baptist Church, 13619 Lincoln Highway, Everett, PA 15537 with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of John to the Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
