John R. Foor, II, 83, of Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was born in Everett, PA on January 26, 1942, to the late John Q. and Violet Athalone (Rice) Foor . On December 29, 2006, in Winchester, VA; he married Joan E. (O’Neal) Cornell - Foor. She preceded him in death on September 08, 2024.
John together with his first wife is survived by the following family: children Timothy Allen Foor married to Tracy of Selinsgrove, PA; Theresa Ann Sutton of Cleveland Heights, OH; John Scott Foor of Hollidaysburg, PA; and Travis Jarrod Foor married to Heather of Grand Junction, CO; seven grandchildren Connor, Alexandra, Candler, Savanna, Brett, Raine and Scarlett; siblings Carol Steed, Paul Q. Foor and Evelyn Sue “Cookie” Price.
John was preceded in death by an infant daughter Laura Jean Foor and a brother Robert V. Foor.
He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1960. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960-1964. He drove truck for twenty-three years and later was employed at JLG for twenty-three years before retiring.
John attended Clear Ridge Fellowship Church. He was a member of the Everett V.F.W. Post No. 2088
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowles officiating.
Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
