John Clark Obituary

John A. Clark, 92, of Everett, PA previously from State College, PA; was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2026 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.  He was born on March 4, 1934 in West Providence Township, Bedford County; a son of the late Blair A. Clark and Mildred (Hann) Clark-Risbon.  He always commented about his unique birthday date of 3/4/34. On December 05, 1953 he was first united in marriage to Helen (Miller) Clark.  She preceded him in death in 2004.  He later married Charlotte J. (Beegle) Clark.  She preceded him in death in 2010.

He is survived by his three children.  Denise Clark of Boiling Springs, PA, Charlene Chambers and husband Scot of Centre Hall, PA and Mitch Clark and wife Susan, Maricopa, AZ; six grandchildren, Crystal Bradley, C.J. Bradley and wife Maryann, Jesse Nimmo and wife Kendra, Kristi Ranz and husband Dylan, Nick Clark and Katie Clark; seven great grandchildren, Colin, Leo, Ruby, Mabel, August, Otis and Lucy and sister-in-law Joyce Clark.

He was preceded in death by his step father Wilbert Risbon, siblings Helen Karns, Joe Clark, Jim Clark, Lillian Bennett, Betty Cornell, Elsie Mellott and Pauline Sponsler.

John was a member of the First Christian Church of Everett.  He graduated from State College Area High School Class of 1953 and attended Pennsylvania State University. 

He served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1958.  He worked for Penn State Mobile Homes, Nittany Gas and Oil Company, Mellott Mobile Homes Sales, HRB Singer Inc. in State College, KMS Industries in Ann Arbor, MI and after thirty-two years of service he retired from Jostens Printing & Publishing Division in State College.

He enjoyed going to hunting camp, and was a football and NASCAR fan, having even served as an usher at the PSU football games.  He was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and co-workers at Jostens.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Robert Robertson officiating.

Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery with full military honors by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
