Joe C. Foor

Joe C. Foor, 79, of Six Mile Run, PA; passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on October 8, 1942 in Wood, PA; a son of the late Fred F. and Edna M. (Bussick) Foor.  On August 29, 1965 in Finleyville, PA; he was united in marriage to Anna M. (Wible) Foor.

Along with his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by children Joann Mills married to Timothy, Six Mile Run; Joe C. Foor, Jr. married to Billi Jo (McDannell), Buffalo Mills and Dwayne R. Foor married to Sherry (Mills), Thompson, GA; grandchildren David Smith, Jeanetta Bennett and Megan Foor; great grandchildren Nathan Miller, Harleem Bennett, Branson Bennett, Madison Smith, Isabella Maines, Hudson and Aubree Maines; step-grandchildren Richard, “Buddy” Singer and Casey Wible and step-great-grandchildren Shyanne and Daniel “D.J.”; siblings Eugene “Willis” Foor, James Foor married to Marge (Davis), Helen Myers married to Don and brother-in-law William Corle.

He was preceded in death by siblings Sally Corle, Iva Foor, son-in-law Allen McFarland, daughter-in-law Marsha (Stewart) Foor and sister-in-law Wynetta (Brumbaugh) Foor.

Joe was a member of the Finleyville Union Church and served in the United States Navy from 1959-1963.

He was a member of the Hopewell V.F.W. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting pool.  Throughout his career he worked on road construction and drove truck.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 4-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held privately.
