Jody L. (Heister) Zelanko

Jody L. Zelanko, 59, of Claysburg, PA; passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at home.  She was born on March 17, 1965 in Roaring Spring, PA; a daughter of Richard William Heister, of Hopewell and the late Eunice Oleta (Morris) Heister. 

She is survived by significant other Jeff Weyandt, Sr.; three children Alicia Zelanko, Matthew Zelanko and his fiancé Tosha Gates and Shanon Zelanko; seven grandchildren Archer, Karma, Josalinn, Ember, Chloe, John and Terry; siblings Michael Heister, Tammy Stroz married to Edward, Johnny Heister and his significant other Tammy Hoover and Kathy Diehl married to William.

She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Sherry Heister.

Jody was of the Catholic Faith.

She attended Allegheny Community College and completed a program in laboratory technician.

She worked at Nason Hospital for over twenty years working as a lab tech.

Jody enjoyed camping, spending time with her grandchildren and trips to the beach.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 155378 with Pastor Ronnie Forrester officiating.
