Joann F. (Robinette) Leader

Joann F. Leader, 84, of Blair Road, Everett, PA; passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  She was born April 4, 1942 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Scott Robinette, Sr., and Olive (Mills) Robinette.  She was married for 60 years to her late loving husband, Delmar P. Leader on September 25, 1965 in Winchester, VA.  He preceded her in death on January 12, 2026.

She is survived by three sons Gregory Leader, married to Michele, (Knee), Everett, PA;  Jeffery Leader, married to Natalie (Bowser), Bedford, PA and Jerry Leader, married to Tanya (Black), Breezewood,, PA; three grandchildren that were her pride and joy Dylan, Mikayla and Allison; she is also survived by siblings Arlene “Ene” Fluke and husband Fred of Everett, PA, and Gerald "Jerry”  Robinette and wife Carol of Willow Street,  PA; .Robert “Mick”  Robinette and wife Bonnie “Rachael" of Everett,  PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two infant daughters Paula Jo and Karen Elaine, and siblings Scott Jr. “June” Robinette, Lillian ”Bob" Pepple,  Walter “Hank” Robinette, ,Doris “Sis” Howlett,  Marian “Betts" Giffin,  James "Jim" Robinette,  Lois “Peg” Mowchan,  Donald “Tom" Robinette, ,William “Bill” Robinette, and one infant sister.

Joann was a homemaker and also helped on the family farm for many years.  She also worked at the Lion Manufacturing sewing factory and the Ramada Inn in Breezewood.  She also owned a craft shop for many years and enjoyed doing plastic canvas, and enjoyed making crafts for the grandkids and crafts for them to take to school and hand out. 

She also enjoyed gardening and enjoyed snapping beans with the grandkids, and was always doing something with them.  She always had a cutting from something in a jar of water on her windowsill trying to get it to root and grow. 

Every year her and her son Jeff would try to see who could get the first hummingbird.  She will be missed for sure. 

Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowles officiating.

Burial will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery, Mench.
