Jeffrey L. Winck

Jeffrey L. Winck, 62, of Breezewood, PA; passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  He was born on December 27, 1959 in Everett, PA; a son of Sylvia E. (Feight) Winck of Breezewood and the late Dwight A. Winck, Sr. 

Along with his mom, he is survived by siblings Debora L. married to Tim McGarvey, McConnellsburg, PA; Dwight A. “JR” Winck married to Elizabeth (Moeri), Breezewood, PA; Andrew H. Winck married to Jenelle (Strine), Neah Bay, WA; John P. Winck and girlfriend Erica, Everett, PA and Justin A. Winck.  Jeff was a special uncle to Jeremy McGarvey, Jonathan McGarvey, Gabrielle St. Clair, Abagael McGarvey, Jacob Winck, Zachariah Winck, Ethan Winck, Courtney Winck, Elisha Winck, Kayla Winck, Alyssa Winck, Aidan Winck, Aaron Winck, Kaleb Winck and Jack Winck.

He was preceded in death by a nephew Orlo Winck.

Mr. Winck was affiliated with the Breezewood Community Church.  He was an owner/operator truck driver most of his career, which was his childhood dream.  After completing professional truck driving school, he worked for various trucking companies including George Transfer, Marck Express, Malone Freight Lines, Beam Bro. Trucking, Trojan Horse and Eagle Express.  He was working for Old Dominion Trucking Company until his time of illness.  Jeff also moved mobile homes for the family business, Winck’s Mobile Homes.

Jeff enjoyed attending auctions, riding his motorcycles, and hunting with his nephews.  He enjoyed southern gospel music and attended concerts with his parents in their later years.  He loved spending time spoiling his nieces and nephews. Jeff had a generous heart and enjoyed treating others to fresh Mennonite pies, cookies and buying ice cream for family gatherings. 

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 P.M and on Monday 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Brothers Andrew Winck and JR Winck officiating.

Burial will be held at Union Memorial Cemetery.
