Jeffrey W. Strait

Jeffrey W. Strait, 68, of Rockwood, PA formerly of Everett, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at home.  He was born on July 9, 1954 in Chambersburg, PA; a son of the late Wilda R. and Ruth (Stains) Strait.  On March 19, 1978 in Bethel Church of the Brethren he was united in marriage to Lisa K. (Bequeath) Strait.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two children Michelle Strait, Everett and Anthony Strait, Rockwood; grandchildren Violet, Nicholas, Matthew and Erik; and a brother Ronald Strait.

Jeff served in the United States Navy for four years from 1972-1976 during the Vietnam War and then served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for twenty years until his retirement.  He spent a large part of his career working for SCI Somerset as a correctional officer until retiring in 2019.

He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion Post No. 279, Rockwood and served several years as a local Boy Scout leader.

A Memorial Service will be determined at a later date.
