Jean I. (Barnett) Barney

Jean I. (Barnett) Barney, 92, of Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.  She was born on October 15, 1928 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Franklin E. and Ella Jane (Sparks) Barnett.  On July 29, 1949 in Cumberland, MD; she was united in marriage to Jack S. Barney.  He preceded her in death on January 19, 2019.  

She is survived by two children Jill A. Barney, Springfield, VA and Jere W. Barney, Everett, PA.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Franklin E. Barnett, Jr. and James Barnett.

She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1946 and Catherman's Business School in Cumberland, MD.

Jean was a member of Black Valley Federated Church.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was very active at the church.

She was employed at Lane Metal Products as the Human Resource Manager for many years.

A Private Funeral Service will be held due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Burial will be held at Frame Church Cemetery, Everett.
