Janet R. (Gue) Chalfant

Janet R. (Gue) Chalfant, 82, of Everett, PA; was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:25 A.M. on Thursday, December 25, 2025.  She was born on June 10, 1943 in Brownsville, PA; a daughter of the late Donald W. and Ann (Dudek) Gue.  She was united in marriage to Terrill "Terry" L. Chalfant on February 24, 1962 in Lowber Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by son Terrill L. Chalfant, Jr. (Stephanie Parreco); granddaughter Krystal Ann Rohm married to Jeffrey; sister Maryann Bardwell Dillard and her three children Troy Bardwell married to Renee and family; Tori (Bardwell) Salinas married to Miguel and family; and Todd Bardwell married to Angie and family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lori Lynn Kroom.

Janet was affiliated with the Breezewood Wesley United Parish.  She enjoyed baking, spending time with her granddaughter and loved yellow roses and daffodils and two cats "Stewy and Goldy".

She was a graduate of Brownsville High School Class of 1961.  Mrs. Chalfant was the bookkeeper for the family owned and operated business C&C Farms, Inc., in the D.C., Baltimore areas for many years until retirement.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Traxler officianting.

Friends and family will be received for a time of visitation on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
