James W. Snyder

James W. Snyder, 90, of Saxton, PA; passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Westminster Woods of Huntingdon.  He was born in Six Mile Run, PA; the son of the late James Frederick and Lillian (Hastings) Snyder.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, sister Shirley and son-in-law Charles DeLuca.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years Shirley Gail (Hooper) Snyder.  They are the parents of four children: James married to Ann, Saxton; John married to Betty, Saxton, Dotti Elder, Saxton and Jean DeLuca, Broad Top.  They are blessed to have six grandchildren: Patrick and Erin Snyder, Spencer and Margo Elder and Jordan and Rylan DeLuca.  There are also three great grandchildren: Matthew Parks, Alex Snyder and Alexis Elder.

James spent his entire career working for Letterkenny Army Depot.  He was employed as an electronics technician.

In his early years, James was involved with community activities.  He has always been an active church member.  He devoted a lot of time as an administrator of the Fockler Cemetery.  He enjoyed his family and was always proud of them.  He loved sports and enjoyed following local teams.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Fockler Cemetery.
