Helen L. (Mellott) Burket

Helen L. Burket, 87, of Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on June 21, 1937 in Harrisonville, PA; a daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret (Cooper) Mellott.  In 1955 at the Sideling Hill Christian Church; she was united in marriage to Donald J. Burket.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three children Dennis A. Burket married to April, Jeanette, PA; Diane Zimmerman married to Craig, Bedford, PA and Douglas Burket married to Jennifer, Bedford, PA; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings Guy Mellott and Randy Mellott both of Bedford.

She was preceded in death by a son Donald Burket, Jr.; and siblings Walter Mellott, Raymond Mellott, Doris Fletcher and Ruby McKee.

Helen was a graduate of Green Hill High School in Harrisonville.

She worked as an office clerk for Bedford County Oil for twenty-six years.  Helen enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycle with her husband with a local club and going on cruises.  Everyone looked forward to Aunt Helen’s family functions often including her making an appearance in costume.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Cindy Milburn officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the Everett Cemetery.
