Harvey Lodge Obituary

Harvey W. Lodge, 83, of Palmer Street, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at home. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Langdondale, PA; a son of the late William and Laura (Heckman) Lodge. On June 24, 1961 in Winchester, VA; he was united in marriage to Shelby J. (Dickinson) Lodge.

Along with his wife of fifty-eight years he is survived by two sons Harvey Lodge Jr. and Jeffrey Lodge; daughters-in-law Lois (Braman) Lodge and Pamela (Smith) Lodge; grandchildren Nicole Lodge and finance’ Nathan Fisher, Abby (Lodge) Kouneski married to Cody, Brittany (Lodge) Sell married to Nathan and Cassie Lodge; siblings Edna Mauk married to the late John Mauk , David Lodge married to Bonnie (Fluke) Lodge; and expecting two great grandchildren in the near future.

He was preceded in death by siblings Lola Carroll, Mary Eshelman and Zola Ritchey.

Harvey was a graduate of Robert P. Smith High School Class of 1956. After graduating he worked road construction and then started his career as an owner/operator truck driver leased to WC McQuade, Motor Freight Express and retired from Jones Motor. After retirement he liked to join the guys for coffee in the afternoon, AND he always had something to say.

He attended Clear Creek Brethren In Christ Church. He was a member of the Everett Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 524, for the past 25 years.

Harvey served on the Hopewell Borough Council for several terms throughout his life. He enjoyed “supervising” the new bridge project.

Private Services will be held with burial at Langdondale Cemetery. Where he will be laid to rest along side his parents.
