Harry W. Foster, 82, of East Cypher Road, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford, PA. He was born on August 15, 1936 in Hopewell, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Norman and Bessie (Lowe) Foster. On June 6, 1956 in Cumberland, Maryland; he was united in marriage to Alberta P. (Karns) Foster.
Along with his wife he is survived by daughters Vicky married to Michael King, Everett, PA and Tammie Horton, Everett, PA; grandchildren Messina (King) married to Brian Wingard and Joshua Pittman; great grandchildren Matthew Pittman, Cameron Pittman and Sierra Wingard; siblings Winifred Risbon, Hopewell, PA and Linda Pritts, Hopewell, PA and sister-in-law Marie Foster.
He was preceded in death by a brother Fred Foster; son-in-law Robert Horton; brothers-in-law Zane Pritts and Donald Risbon.
Harry served in the United States National Guard for six years. He was employed as a carpenter for Local Union #2274, Pittsburgh until his retirement.
He attended Clear Creek Brethren In Christ Church, Everett and was a member of the Hopewell Area Sportsman’s. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and most of all spending time in his workshop building furniture.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor John Geyer and Pastor Keith Showalter officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Bethel Cemetery.
