Harold L. Swope

Harold Lee Swope of Stone Mountain, Georgia, formerly of Six Mile Run, (White Church), PA,

passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at his home in Georgia, after an extended illness.  

He was 88 years old.

Born on May 2, 1937, Harold was the son of the late Chester and Cora Mae (Noel) Swope

and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Preceding him in death was

his first wife Doris Swope, and siblings Hazel (Swope) Hoover, Rufus Swope, Clinton Swope,

Anna (Swope) Mosbey, and a baby sister, Zura Swope.

Harold was a Veteran of the National Guard and worked for Lucent Technology for 30 years.

Harold is survived by his current wife of 25 years, Diantha "D" Swope, along with their

daughters Melissa Lopez, Lisa McClain, Angel Dunn, six grandchildren, five great-

grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in Georgia, along with several nieces and

nephews in the Broad Top Area.

A private graveside service will be held at Evans Cemetery in Coaldale, PA.
