Gregory A. Calhoun

Gregory A. Calhoun, 68, of Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Select Specialty, Johnstown, PA; he was born on September 15, 1956 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Allen E. and Joanne L. (Truax) Calhoun.  On December 12, 2015 at the Everett Assembly of God Church he was united in marriage to Melinda Jo (Mumma) Calhoun.

Along with his wife, he is survived by siblings Jeffrey Calhoun and Lisa Whisel; step-children Amy Gomez married to Gabe and Branden Taylor married to Andrea; step grandchildren Aeric, Andrew, Abrielle, Caleb and Joel; niece and nephews Jessica Vollbrecht, Landon Calhoun, Adam Whisel and Tyler Calhoun, great nieces and nephews Carson, Kylee, Nolan, Gavin, Georgiana, Amya, Jordon and Nathan.

He was preceded in death by a brother Kevin Calhoun and brother-in-law Robert Whisel.

Greg was a member of the Everett Assembly of God Church.

He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1974.  Greg worked at Hedstrom Corporation for over twenty years until the plants closing.  He then drove concrete truck for various companies for over five years before retiring from DMP Shipping in 2020.

Greg had a love for Chevy cars, he enjoyed attending cruise in’s with his Chevrolet Camaro.  He could be found landscaping, doing building projects and caring for his home.  He took great pride in his property.

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 3-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Everett Assembly of God Church with Pastor John Wiley officiating.

Burial will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery.
