Gloria Ann (Waldmann) Medlin

Gloria Ann Medlin, 83, of Hopewell, Pennsylvania; passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.  She was born on March 9, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland; she grew up in Millers Island and attended Sparrows Point High School (class of 1958) in Edgemere, MD.  She is a daughter of the late Paul E. and Elizabeth (Gerns) Waldmann.

She is survived by two children: Kenneth E. Medlin, Jr. married to Deanna, Dundalk, MD and Debra Hope Medlin, Cambridge Springs, PA; four grandchildren: Stacy married to Joey Pelletier, Hannah Kallman, Kenneth E. Medlin III, David Medlin and Johnathan Medlin; two great grandsons: Griffin Van Breemen and Wolfgang Pelletier; three siblings: Wayne Waldmann, Sr., Linda Joyce and Joyce Lucich.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Medlin, Sr. and her sister Peggy Hann.

Gloria attended the Everett United Methodist Church and the Community Grace Brethren Church.

She was member of the Everett Happy Senior Center, Silver Sneakers and entered the Senior Olympics and earned many medals.  She enjoyed free hand drawing, painting, coloring, gardening and lighthouses.  She bowled at the Colt Lanes, (now AMF Bowling) in Dundalk, MD.

She worked at the Everett Shoppers Guide, Country Kettle and Mountain View Farms.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 with Pastor Mike Benner officiating.
