Geraldine M. (Shaffer) Mills

Geraldine M. Mills, 90, of Big Creek Road, Clearville, PA; passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on September 24, 1934 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late W. Melvin and Jessie M. (Hockenberry) Shaffer.  On July 06, 1955 in Winchester, VA; she was united in marriage to Gerald C. Mills. 

Along with her husband of sixty-nine years, she is survived by children Sherry married to Roy Clingerman of Clearville, PA; Sue married to Gregory Clark of Clearville, PA; G. Wayne Mills, of Clearville, PA; Gloria Jean married to Albert Beach, Sr. of Nottingham, MD and Karen Foor and companion Michael Rhodes of Everett; grandchildren Shawn Clingerman married to Trisha of Clearville, PA; Shelly (Clingerman) married to Frank Fernandez of Eagleville, PA; Sloan Clingerman married to Jerrica of Breezewood, PA; Jeremy Clark and companion Kendra Ayers of Clearville, PA; Chelsea Clark and fiancé Joshua Ulrich of Clearville, PA; Kenton Foor and Karl Foor both of Everett, PA, step grandson Albert Beach, Jr. married to Jaclyn of Nottingham, MD; great grandchildren Ruthie and Hattie Clark, Kimberly, Guadalupe and Henri Garcia-Clark, Mya and Charley Fernandez and Kate, Kyson, and Kaliana Clingerman, step great grandchildren Meah Eshelman, Ava Ulrich, Colton and Ariella Beach and Owin Myers; sister Patricia (Shaffer) and husband Bruno Chiesa of Camp Hill, PA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and Norma Yantz Baker, a special friend and roommate.

Geraldine was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1954.  She was a member of Mt. Union Christian Church in Mench, PA.  She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, adult coloring, and vacationing with family and friends.

She worked for many years at Morral’s Motel and Restaurants, Inc. until her retirement in 2000.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Umbel officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Burial will be held at the Clearville Union Cemetery.
