Gerald M. "Jerry" Doyle, 64, of Black Valley Road, Everett, PA; passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born on October 7, 1957 in McConnellsburg, PA; a son of Shirley J. (Sparks) Doyle of Everett and the late Alvin P. Doyle.
He was married to Corliss R. "Corkie" Lantz-Doyle. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2015.
Along with his mother he is survived by significant other Susan D. Bonner, Everett; three stepchildren Brett Weist and fiance Amber Buterbaugh, Everett, PA; Kayla Weist and fiance T.J. Greco, Richmond, VA; Josh Bonner married to Christina, Camp Lejeune, NC; siblings Michael Doyle married to Brenda (Clites), Everett; Dawn "Dee" married to Denny Detwiler, New Enterprise; Mark Doyle married to Dorothea "Dee" (Brown), Bunker Hill, WV; and Tammy married to Philip Duvall, Everett; step grandchildren Austin, Madison, Maddie, McKinley, Maci and Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was employed by New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company as a tri-axle and concrete truck driver. He was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1976.
He was a member of the Everett American Legion Post No. 08 and served as Chaplain of the Sons of the American Legion Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Jerry was always supportive of poker runs supporting veteran organizations and cancer funds.
He was always willing to help his family and friends.
Friends and Family may call on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 3-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Johnathan Wyns officiating.
Burial will be held privately.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jerry to the Everett American Legion Post No. 08 or the Bedford County Pink Ribbon Fund.
