George "Mike" Wareham

George “Mike” Wareham, 76, of Wareham Road, Everett; passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on July 21, 1945 in Altoona, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Walter and Elsie (Guyton) Wareham.  On June 18, 1965 in Ellerslie, Maryland; he was united in marriage to Linda “Becky” (Lee) Wareham.

Along with his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by sons Brian M. Wareham married to Tracy (Stiffler), Everett, PA; Todd L. Wareham married to Lorie (College), Schellsburg, PA and Kenneth D. Wareham married to June (Jones), Everett, PA; daughter-in-law Virginia “Gina” (Adomnik) Wareham, Manns Choice, PA; siblings Donald Wareham, Ronald Wareham and Dorothy Ritchey; fifteen grandchildren Alyssa Wareham and fiancé Joe Macrie, Lauren married to Shannon Felton, Brian Wareham, Jr., Nicole married to Wayne Robertson, Kelsey Wareham, Kenneth Wareham, Jr., Sidney Wareham, Harley married to Hunter Bennett, Emily Wareham, Bailey Wareham, Brian Weyant, Jr.,  Devin Weyant, Haley Adomnik, Trey Showalter and Alec Showalter; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Shawn A. Wareham; brother Harry and sister Elizabeth and infant brother and sister.

Mike was a member of the Wesleyan Chapel Church, Berkeley Springs, WV.  He loved GOD and enjoyed hunting, listening to gospel music and spending time with his family.

He worked for many years on his brother’s farm and later working and retiring from JLG Industries in 2012.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 3-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Swope officiating.

Burial will be held privately.
