George S. Knode

George S. Knode, 67, of 12th Street, Saxton, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on April 12, 1957 in Roaring Spring, PA; a son of the late George W. and Wanda Gail (Spencer) Knode. On October 20, 1984 in Saxton, he was united in marriage to Rhonda (Carbaugh) Knode.

Along with his wife he is survived by sister Mina Brode married to Terry of Camp Hill; mother-in-law Lilly Carbaugh, Saxton; nephews Eric and Aaron Brode married to Olga; great niece and nephew Mathew and Emily Brode.

He was preceded in death by father-in-law George Carbaugh.

George enjoyed listening to Gaither music, riding his motorcycle, hunting, watching Penn State and Steelers Football and he was a member of the NRA.

He was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1975 and then went on to Penn State Altoona to get his associate degree in Engineering.

George worked at Foster F. Wineland Equipment in the parts department where he retired from in 2022 after twenty-eight years of service.

He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church St, Saxton, PA 16678 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church St, Saxton, PA 16678 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jill Clawson officiating.

Burial will be held at Broad Top IOOF Cemetery.
