Gary L. Stewart

Gary L. Stewart, 72, of Old Route 26, Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on September 27, 1949 in Zanesville, OH; a son of the late Howard and Fern (Sperduti) Stewart.  

He is survived by a daughter Mariann Fenwick married to Keith; granddaughter Gillian; and family by choice Janene Martz and her family Crystal, Jason, Ceaton, Landen, Cuyler and Oaklyn; siblings Jeff, Danny and Steve.

Gary was preceded in death by siblings Star Elaine, Dixie Lou and Jamie.

He spent his career serving our country in the United States Army for twenty-four years until his retirement.  Gary served four tours in Vietnam, one in Korea, two tours in Germany and finishing at Ft. Knox.

He was a member of the Blair County A.B.A.T.E; Everett American Legion Post No. 08; Everett American V.F.W. Post No. 2088; Saxton Sportsman's Club; Everett Wambic Tribe Social Club; Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans Association.  He was awarded an honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Gary enjoyed his woodcraft business "A Little Piece of Heaven in the Country", and also riding his Harley around the country.
