Gary D. Colledge

Gary D. Colledge, 72, of Mountain Chapel Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Monday March 21, 2022 at home. He was born on December 16, 1949; a son to the late Clyde and Janet (Foor) Colledge.

He is survived by his son, Kevan married to Casey (Mearkle) Colledge; brother Robert married to Janet (Foor) Colledge, and sister-in-law Deloris (Barkman) Colledge.  He will be greatly missed by his grand-pup, Bentley.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jack Colledge, sister Wanda “Kay” Conner, and brother-in-law Gary “Gus” Conner.

In his early years Gary helped his brother Jack on his family farm and then he drove truck for his cousin Dick Weist. Gary was very proud of his 38 years as a CNC machinist for JLG Industries in McConnellsburg before retiring in 2015.

Gary enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, especially with his son and his nephews.

Gary was extraordinary at tinkering and fixing things and enjoyed spending time working on tractors and mowing his lawn.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc. 299 Raystown Road Everett PA 15537 and on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home Inc. with Fr. Ryan Viands officiating.

Burial will be held at Rays Cove Church Cemetery.
