Galen “Apple” M. Foor, 77, of Clear Ridge Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at UPMC Altoona Hospital with family by his side. He was born on September 14, 1942 in Breezewood, PA; a son of the late Eugene and Mabel (Bollman) Foor.
He is survived by children Galen J. Foor, Saxton; William E. Foor married to Virginia (Dishong), Everett; D. Lee Foor and girlfriend Seena Price, Everett; Tracey R. Foor and fiancé Steven Conrath, Everett and Melody F. Dishong married to Clyde Jr., Everett; grandson that resided with him Alexander Dishong; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; siblings Lois Storrs, Osterburg; Richard Foor married to Shirley (Perrin), Bedford; Kenneth Foor married to Maryann (Dunkle), Everett; Gary Foor married to Ora (Swartzwelder), Everett; Denny Foor, Breezewood; Rodney “Mace” Foor married to Theresa (Clark), Everett; Bonnie married to Mick Robinette, Everett; Ronnie Foor married to Diane (Cessna), Everettt; sister-in-law Patricia Foor.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, two infant sisters, a brother Boyd Foor, a sister Hope Grubb and husband Robert Grubb; and brother-in-law George Storrs.
Apple drove truck for fifty years, retiring from M&T Foor Trucking, where he worked for four special nieces, Kristy, Casey, Carrie and Macy.
He loved to sit and listen to Classic Country Music and look at his TNT Truck Magazines. He started his day at Kelly’s Restaurant, where he would sit and talk truck until time to go trucking.
He enjoyed spending time with his great grandbabies.
Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 4-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Lay Speaker Gary Collins officiating.
