Galen J. Ritchey

Galen J. Ritchey, 67, of Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Bedford Post-Acute.  He was born on January 9, 1959 in Everett, PA; a son of Helen L. (Hengst) Ritchey of Everett and the late John W. Ritchey. 

Along with his mother, he is survived by a brother Steven W. Ritchey and numerous cousins and close friends.

He was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School Class of 1977.

He worked alongside his father and brother on the “Ritchey Brothers” dairy farm for his entire life.

Galen attended Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church, Everett.  He enjoyed attending tractor pulls and working on equipment around the farm.  The farm was a gathering place for local friends and neighbors.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church with Pastor John Geyer officiating. 

Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Galen to the Penn View Bible Institute, P.O. Box 97, 125 Penn View Drive, Penns Creek, PA 17862.
