Gail I. (Mills) Young

Gail I. Young, 90 of Breezewood, PA; passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026.  She was born in Clearville, PA on April 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Guy Franklin and Catherine H. (Diehl) Mills.  She married Raymond F. “Cork” Young on December 09, 1955 in Winchester, VA. 

Along with her husband of seventy years she is survived by a daughter, Brenda Hoffacker married to Michael, New Oxford, PA; two grandsons Justin M. Hoffacker (Barb) and Kirk M. Hoffacker (Steph); three great grandchildren Camden, Savannah and Brooke Hoffacker.

She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Mills and his wife Helen.

She was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1955.  She was a member of Shreve's Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Breezewood, PA.  She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Friends and family will be received for a time of visitation on Tuesday, June 02, 2026 at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 02, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Judith Simonson officiating.

Burial to be held at the Everett Cemetery.
