Franklin Clark Obituary

Franklin D. Clark, 84, of Bedford, went home to be with Jesus, June 15, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Frank was born November 3, 1936 in Everett, a son of John and Ruth (Schetrompf) Clark.

On May 5, 1959 he married Rev. Nancy J. Clark in Ellerslie, Maryland, recently celebrating sixty-four years of marriage.

Their surviving daughter Teena (Clark) Brown and son-in-law Gary Brown, reside in Michigan, his grandsons are Barry D. Clark, Jr., Michael and Christopher Ritchey, Brian Brown and granddaughter Renee Murany.  Great granddaughters are Kaitlynn Jo Marie Clark who lives with them and was treated and loved as their own daughter and Autumn and Jordan.  Oh yes, and the one year old Aubrey Sue Ritchey who stole Frank’s heart and a great great grandson, Giovani and in Michigan Ryan, Jayson, Tyler and Ava and many nieces and nephews and loved ones.

Frank was preceded in death by his son Barry D. Clark, Sr. and granddaughter Angela Rae Clark and following siblings: Samuel Clark and Donald "Johnny" Clark

Harold “Buck” Clark, James “Jim” Clark, Lois Skipper, Barbara Price, Annabelle Clark, infant brother Paul and sister Reba.

Frank graduated from Everett High School in 1955.  He was very active in sports, wrestling, basketball and number 72 on the football field, diminutive Frank Clark – all county left end and met Nancy at the Bedford Roller Skating Rank.

Nicknamed “Pap” many years ago even to his co-workers of 39 ½ years at the telephone company and was very reputable in his electrical business.

Frank and Nancy’s ministry is known as “The Living Temples Gospel Singers and the The Living Temples Faith Center” and was very active in four states from Leesburg, VA to Butler, PA.  Frank loved to sing and play his guitar and put a smile on people’s faces with his sense of humor.  Most of all he helped many come to know Jesus as their Savior.

Always known to lend a helping hand and never learned to say “no” – he was there.  Now, Jesus has called him home, it was his time to go, but he will forever be loved and missed in our minds and in our hearts.
