Floyd L. Hedrick, 81, of Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1943 in Clearville, PA; a son of the late Roy J. and Celia Ellen (Valentine) Hedrick. On August 04, 1964, in Flintstone, Maryland; he was united in marriage to Joan M. (Klahre) Hedrick.
Along with his wife of sixty-one years he is survived by three children: Angie Calhoun married to Craig, Andy Hedrick married to Michelle and Amy Hedrick; five grandchildren: Matthew Calhoun married to Kathleen, Micah Calhoun married to Courtney, Brett Hedrick, Alexa Plummer, Caden Plummer; six great grandchildren: Mathis, Macoy, William, Emma, Elizabeth and Rebecca; and one sister, Dorothy.
Floyd attended a one room schoolhouse through third grade and graduated from Everett High in the School Class of 1963. He attended Catherman’s Business School. He worked as a parts man for fifty years and had the ability to fix almost anything.
He was a member of Community Grace Church where he enjoyed spending time with his bible study group. He enjoyed hunting, listening to blue grass music, woodworking and traveling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Peeler officiating.
Burial will be held at Rock Hill Cemetery.
