Fay Louise (Beegle) Grimes

Fay Louise (Beegle) Grimes, 89, of Ott Town Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at home.  She was born on June 29, 1934 in Breezwood, PA; a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred (Mellott) Beegle.  On August 6, 1954 in Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to John Sherman Grimes.  He preceded her in death on April 30, 2006.

She is survived by children Sharon R. Barnes married to Marshall "Mark", Everett; Steven J. Grimes married to Cynthia, Bedford; Mark J. Grimes married to Linda, Everett; Thomas S. Grimes, Everett; Betsy J. Wright married to Thomas, Windber; grandchildren Gabriel Barnes, Caleb Grimes married to Sydney, Hannah Twigg married to Jake, Joshua Grimes married to Katelyn, Lydia Donaldson married to Timothy, Ryan Wright, Rebecca Wright, Rylejohn Wright; great grandchildren John Twigg and David Twigg; sister Marjorie Smiley.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Lynn, grandson Mark Michael Barnes, great-granddaughter Amelia Lynn Donaldson, siblings Roger Beegle and Sara Hayward.

Fay was a waitress at Howard Johnsons for many years and later worked as a teacher's aide at the Everett Christian Academy and a receptionist at Dr. Philip Grana.

Mrs. Grimes was a member of Time Ministries Church, Bedford.

She enjoyed volunteering her time at church and in the community for many years.

The family would like to extend special to care givers Christina W and Julie S for their dedication of care. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at UPMC Home Health and Hospice Care for their care and compassion.  

A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Boor and Pastor Dan Stultz officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the Everett Cemetery.
