Eric V. Pittman

Eric Van Pittman of Martinsburg, PA passed away on August 3, 2023 at UPMC Pittsburgh after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 31, 1958 in Everett, son of the late Arland Pittman and Arlene Pittman of Homewood in Martinsburg.

He is also survived by a son Ty Pittman and granddaughters Adalyn, Aubrey, and Avery of Altoona; aunts Joyce Criswell of Everett, Velma Morris (Clyde) of Everett, and Joyce Pittman of Pittsburgh; and cousins Connie Micatrotto, Kirt Morris, Jill Payne, Cindy Speck, and Lana Timmins.

He was also preceded in death by his uncles Wilmer Lashley, Dan Dears, and John Criswell.

Eric graduated from Central High School. Before he retired, he was employed as a Sales Clerk at Sears & Roebuck, Pittman Insurance Agency, and Cove Shoe Co. Eric always had a passion for music and enjoyed watching old movies.

At Eric’s request, there will not be a funeral service.

The family would like to thank all the staff at SeniorLIFE Altoona as well as UPMC Altoona and Pittsburgh for their care and support of Eric the past several years.
