Emily Jean (Smith) Grace

Emily Jean Grace, 80, of Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on July 26, 1943; a daughter of the late Elizabeth H. (Smith).  On December 25, 1968 in Cumberland, MD; she was united in marriage to James C. Grace.  He preceded her in death on September 21, 1997.

She is survived by three sons James Grace and significant other Patricia Conner, James Creek; Ronnie Grace, Everett; and Harry Grace married to Loretta, Everett; grandchildren Belinda Hall married to Phillip, Jamie Grace married to Megan, Richelle Leberfinger, Haley Lashinksy, Casey Mallow married to Dalton, Amber Grace and Kaelonni Lashinsky; numerous great grandchildren; brothers Ronald Smith married to Esther and Duwaine “Boots” Smith married to Rose.

She was preceded in death by siblings Emily Lou Smith, Joan Mae Smith and great grandson Tyler James Grace.

Mrs. Grace was affiliated with Sherman’s Valley Brethren in Christ Church.

Emily was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1961.

She worked at MHMR as a therapeutic activity aid for a number of years.

She enjoyed reading, baking, playing bingo and spending time with grandchildren.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of funeral service. 

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Sherman’s Valley Cemetery.
