Edward Diehl

Edward Diehl, 89, Saxton, PA; passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Embassy Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA; a son of the late August and Rose (Saeln) Diehl.  He was first married to Jane Lorraine (Kramer) Diehl, she preceded him in death.  He later in 1999 in Warminster, PA; married Charlotte K. (Bailey Snyder) Diehl. 

Along with his wife Charlotte, he is survived by children Edward Diehl, Jr. and his late wife Dorothy, Philadelphia, PA; David Diehl married to Dayna, Philadelphia, PA; Melanie (Snyder) married to Christopher Gresko, James Creek, PA and Kelly Snyder and significant other Scotty Sheeder, Dudley, PA; grandchildren Natalie, Riley, Kieran, Quinn and Brigid and Erin; and a special niece Rosie Cravera of Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by siblings August and Carl (Twins), Teddy, Freddy, Rhiney, Rose Marie, Gladys, Margie, and an infant sister who past at birth.

Ed was of Lutheran Faith.

Mr. Diehl spent his career as a supervisor in a Dairy Plant.

Ed enjoyed working outside and tinkering.  He was an avid “Birds” fan, Philadelphia Eagles.  He had a love for his heritage, leading him to cherish anything and everything German.  He and his wife enjoyed world traveling and taking river cruise trips.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 with Lay Minister Rod Donaldson officiating.

A time of visitation will be held at the funeral chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
