Edith A. Guyer, 65, of New Enterprise, Pa., passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Pennknoll Village.
She was born on April 14, 1958, in Everett, Pa., the daughter of the late James Ross and Etta Jane Foor.
She is survived by two daughters, LeAnn A. (Guyer) Sollenberger, married to Ben, of New Enterprise, and Beth A. (Guyer) Steele, married to Davey, of Hopewell; grandchildren: Brant D. Ritchey, Maclyn R. Steele and Emily J. Sollenberger; sisters: Cathy, married to Gerald Leader; Carol, married to Walter Jays; Rose, married to Mark Swope; and Peggy, married to Russell O’Neal.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Leevi Steele.
Edith was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School, Class of 1977, and a member of Hopewell Grace Church.
She worked at Colonial Courtyard for several years and truly loved the residents she cared for during that time. Working with each of them brought her joy.
She enjoyed and loved her grandchildren. She always looked forward to the time they spent together. Nothing made her happier.
She will be missed by her family and friends who loved her.
Friends and family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, Pa., on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin VanOrman officiating.
Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
