Earl "Flub" Fetters Obituary

Earl “Flub” E. Fetters, 92, of Six Mile Run, PA; passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.  He was born on August 28, 1927 in Kearney, PA; a son of the late Carl Fetters and Catherine “Kate” (Zelanko) Weaverling. 

He is survived by a brother Harold “Sonny” Weaverling married to LaDonna, Six Mile Run and many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by siblings John “Pepper” Zelanko, Louise Kolodziej, Madoline Snyder and Darrell “Poodle” Weaverling; a special niece Daryl “Diddy” Runk.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, PA, the former Hopewell V.F.W. and the Six Mile Run American Legion Post #126.

He enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Over the years he worked as coal miner belonging to the United Mine Workers and later working in construction and logging.

Earl served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945-1946 and again from 1952-1954. 

A Private Funeral Mass will be held with burial at Ave Maria Catholic Cemetery.
