E. Joanne Goodrich, formerly of Rock Hill Church Road, Clearville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Pennknoll Village. She was 92.
Born on December 31, 1933 in Monroe Township, Pennsylvania; “Joannie” was the daughter of the late Lee and Julia Madonna (Hall) Goodrich. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Goodrich (Mary Lou), and sisters Sara L., (Derry) Miller, and Betty Goodrich.
Joannie didn’t have any children of her own, but was surrounded by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joannie was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1952. She worked at GC Murphy’s in Everett for 33 years, 20 of which she led as an assistant manager. She then worked at Gary’s Homes Inc. for 18 years until retiring.
In her younger days Joannie and her sister Betty enjoyed volunteering their time at Pennknoll Village, visiting with residents, and attending church. She enjoyed time spent with her sisters, especially their long car rides and going out to eat. She had a huge heart and a soft spot for animals, especially her beloved cats “Chrissy” and “Missy”.
Joannie was a wonderful sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and the staff at Pennknoll Village for their love and care of Joannie.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
