Duane G. Trueax

Duane G. Trueax, 75 of Spade Road, Crystal Spring, PA; passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at home. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Guy L. and Bernice Jean (Garlick) Trueax. On April 17, 1965 in Winchester, VA he was united in marriage to Patricia J. Trueax.  

Along with his wife of fifty-seven years he is survived by daughters Ronda Sigel, Everett, PA; Tonya (Kraig) Hurley, Ocean Pines, MD and Whittney (Nate) Gould, Dover, NH; grandchildren Brooks (Sara) Sigel, Jena (Zach) Kiess, Erin Hurley and Evan Hurley and great-granddaughter Birdie Jean Sigel; siblings Diana Bard, Charlotte Downey, Stuart Trueax, Roy Trueax, Perry Trueax and Sherry Johnson.

Duane was raised on the family farm and continued to farm until 1982. He was also employed as a truck driver for many years and most recently employed as an equipment operator for PennDOT until his retirement in 2011.  

In his spare time he enjoyed restoring tractors, working on cars, and going to the Marion auction. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and watching Westerns. He was a member of the Everett United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Everett Masonic Lodge F&AM 524 and was a former Forest Fire Warden and trustee of Crystal Spring Camp Meeting.

A celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in The Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David Calovi officiating.

A Masonic Service will be held at 10:45 A.M.  

Friends and Family will be received on Saturday, August 20, 200 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
