Dr. Jeffrey L. Foor, 73, of Clearville, PA, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, at his home. He was born on Sept. 9, 1950, in Clearville; a son of the late Elmer "Jim" W. Foor, Jr., and Helen V. (Hershberger) Foor. On June 19, 1976, he was united in marriage to Linda (Sollenberger) Foor.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Ian Foor, married to Amy (Potchak), and a daughter, Natalie (Foor) Kaar (married to Matt); grandchildren Alina, Maddie, Nick, Izzy and Gwen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jill Ann (Foor) Hartle; and brothers, Dr. James R. Foor and Dr. Jody S. Foor.
Jeff was a graduate and president of the Everett High School Class of 1968, graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1972 and graduated from University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1976. After graduation, he completed his medical residency at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA, where he served in the Navy as a Lt. Commander for six years.
Moving back to Bedford County in 1982, Jeff established his private pediatric practice in Everett, where he enjoyed working alongside Linda until his retirement in July 2017. Soon after retiring, he unretired and joined Pediatric Care Specialists on a part-time basis for several years.
Jeff was a member of The First Christian Church of Everett, where he played organ for many years. Jeff loved playing the piano and organ, and adored taking care of babies and children. He lived for annual beach trips to the Grand Strand with the whole family year after year and was always anxious to head West with Linda come winter.
He will forever be missed for his eternal optimism, thoughtfulness, kindness, gentleness and compassion. Jeff had an unmatched power to make everything feel better in even the toughest of times.
