Dorsey Richard Fox, Sr.

Dorsey Richard Fox, Sr., 86 of Everett, PA went on to be with his Lord and Savior on October 9, 2023. 

He was born November 22, 1936, in Kempton, MD, to Martin Fox and Ethel Fox-Weese.  He was a proud American who served in the United State Army from 1956 to 1959 with deployments to Korea and Japan.  He graduated from Romney High School in Romney, WV in 1956 and was also proud of his West Virginia roots with his favorite stomping ground being Romney, WV.  

His hobbies included metal detecting, western genre books, western movies, country music, hunting, fishing, and civil war history.  He also enjoyed NFL football and the Little League World Series.

Dorsey is survived by his wife, Marjorie Fox; three daughters Lorna Pokryfke and husband Dan of Bedford, PA; Stacy Fox of Frederick, MD; Lisa Hott and husband Bill of August, WV; son Dorsey (DJ) Fox, Jr. of Everett; stepson Rick Ward and wife Dena of Everett, PA; six grandchildren Lyndee Kimble, Brett Myers, Derek Ficik, Levi Conard, Matthew Pokryfke, and Macy Ficik; many great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family is holding a small graveside service with military honors at Union Memorial Church in Everett, PA on November 22, 2023, at 1 o’clock.  A small celebration of life will be held at Lorna and Dan Pokryfke’s following the graveside service.
