Dorothy “Dottie” Irene Foor, 62, of Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1962 in Roaring Spring, PA; a daughter of the late Anna (Chalfante) Lawler and Joseph Foor, Jr.
She is survived by daughter Angela James, sister Debra Blackstone, brothers Joseph Foor III and Tim Lawler; grandchildren Isaiah, Ethan, Aleah, Jacari and Jaquai; nieces Aerin and Jennifer; nephews Adam, Danny and Joey, many cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
Dottie was preceded in death by her daughter Robin James and brother-in-law James Blackstone.
She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
Dottie spent many years of her life taking care of people as a CNA at Pennknoll Village and in home care. She loved attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her best friend Cindy Foor. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She had a very kind and giving heart and helped anyone and everyone she could. She will be missed beyond words.
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating.
Burial will be held at privately at the Blackstone Home Place.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dottie to the Akers Funeral Home to assist the family.
