Dorothy L. Stiffler

Dorothy L. Stiffler, 86, of Hopewell, PA; passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at home.  She was born August 08, 1939 in Hopewell, PA; a daughter of the late William W. and M. Ruby (Eller) Koontz.  She was united in marriage to Carl Stiffler in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He preceded her in death in October 1992.

She is survived by siblings Gloria Jean married to Archie Ziviello, II, Phyllis married to Steve Schroth, Ralph Koontz married to Janice and sister-in-law Emily Koontz.

She was preceded in death by siblings Margaret Lucille Dodson and her husband Don Dodson and Richard “Dick” Koontz.

Dorothy was a graduate of Robert P. Smith Class of 1957.  She first worked with her sister Lucille and brother-in-law Don at Inspection Engineering out of Johnstown, PA;  later working at Seton Manufacturing until her retirement.      

She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and sewing.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Loysburg Cemetery.
